INSTINCT IN THE MOMENT, intention in the frame.

behind the lens

I work in both film and digital because each reveals something different. Film slows me down and invites intention. Digital lets me move instinctively, catching what might otherwise pass. Together, they create images that feel layered, honest, and enduring.

Before photography, I worked in advertising, shaping stories and studying how people connect with what they see. But I was always drawn to the unguarded moments. People being people. Love unfolding naturally. Over time, that pull led me outdoors, toward open skies, shifting light, and a quieter way of seeing. Photography became where it all came together.

Now based in the Pacific Northwest, the landscape continues to shape my perspective. Time spent in nature has deepened my appreciation for subtle, fleeting moments. That sense of observation guides the way I work, with calm, curiosity, and respect for what’s unfolding.

On a wedding day, that means noticing what others might miss. The way it felt, not just how it looked. The in-between moments, the quiet exchanges, the energy of being somewhere you won’t ever be again.

I’m drawn to simple rituals: slow mornings, good coffee, music, art and culture, and the quiet privilege of watching people be fully themselves.

At its core, my work is about love in its most authentic form.

I’m there to notice it, and to create something you can return to for a lifetime.

MY PHILOSOPHY

01

ARTISTRY

I’m drawn to the feeling of a moment more than the perfection of it. The way light falls, the way people move, the quiet things in between. I approach weddings with a calm, observant eye, shaping what’s real into something artful.

02

PRESENCE

I believe presence creates the most lasting images. I offer subtle direction when it adds ease, and space when authenticity matters most, allowing the day to unfold in a way that feels effortless and real..

03

TIMELESSNESS

Trends come and go, but feeling stays. I’m always thinking about how these photographs will live years from now, not just how they look but what they hold. The goal is something lasting, honest, and quietly powerful.

  • "Our photos are beyond what we imagined and full of soul."

“Her presence was calming and elegant, she noticed every detail while making us feel completely ourselves. Our photos are beyond what we imagined and full of soul.”

  • "I can’t stop reliving our day through her lens."

“From our first meeting to the final gallery, everything felt intentional. I can’t stop reliving our day through her lens.”

    — Mila and Caleb

  • “A photographer who truly captured the day!”

“Oh, let me tell you about Amy, who I had the pleasure of working with, she was absolutely amazing! Not only was she super organized and professional throughout the whole process, but she is also a true artist.

When I got the final batch of photos, I was honestly blown away. She captured candid moments and in a beautiful and artistic way. I really felt like she understood the vision of my wedding and captured all the details and moments that were most important to me and my husband.”
