Our SIGNATURE PROCESS
A seamless, guided experience from first conversation to final gallery.
01
connectEvery experience begins with a conversation. We’ll talk through your priorities and ideas and craft a customized session from there. I’ll provide guidance on location, timing, and wardrobe to ensure everything feels cohesive and effortless.
02
planningBefore we meet, you’ll receive thoughtful direction to help you feel relaxed and ready. From styling suggestions to choosing the right setting, each detail is considered, not to control the moment, but to create space for it.
03
captureOn the day of your session, you don’t need to be or do anything differently than you already are. I’ll gently guide when needed and step back when it matters most. The goal is simple: to document real moments beautifully.
SOMETIMES THE best WAY TO BEGIN IS WITH A conversation.
Let’s connect to explore your vision, your celebration, and the emotions you want your images to evoke. I’ll walk you through the experience, answer your questions, and together we’ll determine if we’re the perfect fit.

Once you’ve chosen your collection, I’ll send over a custom agreement and invoice to officially reserve your wedding date. A 30% retainer secures your celebration coverage, with the remaining balance due one month prior. Everything is handled through a simple, secure online portal to keep things easy.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give each couple the attention they deserve.
-
I photograph weddings in a way that feels mostly documentary, letting the day unfold as it happens.
I’m there to observe, but I’m not hands-off. If you want a little guidance, I’ll step in when it’s helpful, especially during portraits or moments that feel uncertain, so everything stays relaxed and easy and you can simply just exist and enjoy your day. The goal is imagery that feels honest, thoughtful, and natural, without ever feeling staged. -
For the past nine years, I’ve photographed weddings of all kinds, from intimate gatherings to full, multi-day celebrations. Along the way, I’ve learned how to move through a wedding day gently and intuitively, paying attention to what’s unfolding without ever interrupting it.
My experience allows me to approach each celebration with care, confidence, and a deep respect for the details that make it yours. What I love most about this work is creating images that feel just as meaningful years from now as they did in the moment.
-
I photograph with two professional full-frame digital camera bodies and a curated set of lenses chosen for beautiful light, depth, and clarity. I also always bring backup equipment, because preparation matters.
You won’t need to think about the technical side at all. I’ve got it covered.
-
Yes, I am fully insured, including general liability, professional liability, and comprehensive equipment coverage, so you can feel confident and protected throughout your wedding day.
-
Absolutely. I work closely with you (and your planner, if you have one) to create a timeline that feels relaxed and realistic, while also protecting time for beautiful light and meaningful moments.
A thoughtful timeline makes all the difference in how your day feels and how it photographs.
-
For larger guest counts, multiple locations, or more complex timelines, a second photographer can be incredibly helpful. It allows for additional perspectives and fuller coverage while everything flows naturally.
I’m always happy to talk through whether it makes sense for your day.
-
Most couples choose between 8 to 10 hours so we can document the full arc of the day, from getting ready through your send-off. That said, every celebration is different, and I’m always happy to guide you based on your plans.
For smaller gatherings, elopements, or celebrations in more remote locations, whether that means extra travel time, a ferry ride, or a hike into the mountains, I customize coverage to fit the experience. The goal is always the same: to tell your story fully and thoughtfully, without rushing the moments that matter most.
-
I love engagement sessions because they create space to slow down and get comfortable in front of the camera. Most people aren’t used to being photographed, and that’s part of the process. We keep things easy and unforced. These sessions are about spending time together in a way that feels natural to you, whether that’s revisiting a place that matters or simply moving through a setting you love. Think of it as a quiet prelude to the wedding day. It gives us time to connect and makes everything feel more familiar once the day arrives.
-
Within a few days, you’ll receive a curated preview gallery so you can soak it all in again and share a few favorites with the people you love. Your full gallery is carefully edited and delivered within the timeline outlined in your agreement.
Each image is refined to honor the light, energy, and feeling of your day. When your gallery is ready, you’ll be able to download high-resolution files for beautiful printing, as well as web-sized images that make sharing easy.
-
Yes. I offer albums and printed pieces meant to be lived with, not tucked away. Your gallery makes it easy to turn your images into art for your home, whether that’s a small gallery wall, a few framed favorites, or a book you reach for often.
Every printed album includes complimentary design, so you never have to worry about laying it out yourself. I handle the layout and shape your images into a cohesive story, then have it beautifully produced and delivered directly to your door when it’s ready. -
Most couples receive their full gallery within 6–8 weeks, depending on the season. I take care in the editing process to ensure your images feel cohesive, polished, and timeless.
It’s worth the wait, I promise.
-
In short, I deliver as many images as it takes to thoughtfully tell the story of your day, or session. I don’t believe in padding galleries to meet a set number, nor would I ever hold back meaningful moments simply because a quota has been reached. On average, depending on the coverage selected, couples receive between 400–1,000 carefully curated images.
-
Your images are backed up through multiple layers of protection, including dual memory card recording during the wedding, immediate hard drive backups, and secure cloud storage. Final images are also stored in professional archival systems and your online gallery, ensuring your memories are safely preserved both during and after delivery.
-
I love destination celebrations. If your wedding is taking place outside of Washington or internationally, I’ll create a custom, travel-inclusive proposal tailored specifically to your plans.
New landscapes, new light, new stories? I’m always honored to document them.
